Forgot I was to say my two cents worth on school bullies. Ooohhh scary aren’t they? Those folks that made it their purpose to make your school days a living hell. Sorry couldn’t resist that. Yeah so, what bout them? Really don’t think that they specifically target people to pick on. Think that they just flex their muscles once in a while to intimidate. Show them who is boss and all that, don’t think bodily harm is in their plans at all. I know I was terrified if I was to be involved with a scuffle of any kind, this is due to my aftermath thinking. How I was to explain my injuries to my mom when she questioned me, and my falling off the bus for the tenth time this month excuse wasn’t good enough no more. She is my ‘boss’, the one that puts the fear into me, heh. Well thinking bout it, it’s not so much fear but how I have disappointed my mom that is the killer.

Moving along, the thing I believe is that the geeks and the nerds would end up being Bill Gates, where as the jocks would end up being employed at the local carwash. Heh. My mom asked me to work at McDonalds yesterday. Hahahahaha.

Seriously folks there is no shame in being employed by the management of the great Golden Arches.

unfinished business

What am I thinking about? Well was going to post something on truants, but that seem boring. I remember in school, which seems like ages ago by the way, it was never much of a deal. Call me crazy but I think eventually students/ teenagers grow out of this stage, well being a rebel at that age; you wouldn’t want to directly say ‘no’ to them. This would make them want to do it, because it’ll be ‘cool’ then. So it’s kind of a no win situation to pursue this. This is all according to me of course, the person that has a grand attendance of one third the full schooling days on my final year of school. Never really liked school at all, the only thing I like about those days are just that it was so straight forward. The whole idea of having a direct purpose in existence is what everyone is looking for in their life. Sure get a job, and a family is the plan according to society’s conformance. And we go back to the ‘rebel’ stage, heh. Try as I may, I haven’t thought of the perfect plan to escape this cycle of death.

Boy I am chirpy today aren’t I?

boogie

I have bought a book over the weekend; it’s been a while since I’ve gotten myself something. I am pretty sure that most people are illiterate and some of them do find pleasure in reading. It’s because the perception is still that you’re consciously transmitting the idea that if you have bought a lot of books, you’re trying to say, “Hey look at me and how many books I’ve bought! Boy I must be really smart, don’t mess around with me.” Maybe it’s the Malaysian mentality, but I have come across this a lot of times, ever since my schooling days. To be reading in school would deem you a nerd and a bookworm. This is when being hip and cool is the thing to do, so you do avoid reading in school, that and it kind of irks the underachievers as well. Do I hear the current fad of being beaten up in school by a bully? I’ll touch on this a little later, that and the current crackdown on truancy.

Okay so, over the weekend there was a warehouse sale on books. The prices were really good by the way, but before reaching the place I overheard this person trying to sound really smart or something or rather. He was exclaiming to the two women who was with him, that the people exiting the place with bags of books was being pompous. In his exact words, “all those people are trying to look intelligent, look at them all buying books just for the sake of that.” I was stupefied at this remark. Goodness me, he is joining our ranks if he walks out of the place with more than two books in his hand. Oh, but wait he could rise above all of us, and stump us by not buying a single book! All I can say is this is classic foot in mouth disease, to look cool, and yet attract attention for the wrong reasons.

Reading ‘Zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance’, I must say that so far the book has been really interesting. It’s like light bulb moments every two pages. When I finish the book, I’ll comment if it’s all that. Hype I mean. I will talk about the education system and my thoughts on that another time. Oh previously the girl that was to be investigated by the police for having malicious intents went dumping her newborn in the toilet has not been charged by them. It’s great news for me, and the system in this country. I suppose, sometimes the best interest to another human being is more important, let us not forget that. Seems like an interesting topic to talk about the pro-abortion march recently in Washington. Yeah, the next one.

beauty

Man I’ve just been complimented by a guy concerning my looks. It feels good all the same no matter which gender it’s coming from, heh. What can I say? I am a vain pot if there is such a thing. Blame it all on the new metrosexualism that is going on, and for men to want to take grooming and dressing to a whole new level. Gone were the days where rugged, manly man’s definition of being ‘in’ is to have the unkempt look. Think the great legendary Marlboro man, and there is your picture definition of manliness.

Now it’s more cultivated towards the projected image of David Beckham. Blame society or rather men for not being strong enough to reject that image. Maybe it’s all because men secretly do want to play dress up, some dark pent up secret of wanting to take part in a game of house and dressing up Barbie. Taking it too deeply, going Freudian. Next I’ll be saying ‘men’ in general really want to feel their mothers. Oof too sick and twisted for me to even think of such a thing. Moving on!

Let me see, current favorite cds in the player. This band called Snow Patrol. One of the better bands, that does not make me cringe after the second listen. This does not fall in my favorite female contemporary vocalist, heh. So, yeah the band is really cool, they’re Irish as well. Now you know them Irish can never get things too wrong. Think the last ‘group’ cd I’ve bought is probably White Stripes, and no I’m not into The Strokes, and all that retro back to basics sound. Well The Darkness is cool, just because it’s been a while since someone was as outrageous. That is a whole different topic on why I think Justin Hawkes is pretty hot, heh.

The other cd, that I have playing a lot is Amel Larrieux. I must say for a person that is not particularly fond of R&B, this woman rocks. This is a cool album, just for the slow jam tracks, that all after a while becomes and incredibly trippy ride. It’s the real deal, don’t kid yourself in not trusting moi.

thoughts...

A newspaper report caught my attention today. It’s the report of a 13-year-old girl who gave birth in the school toilet and dumped the newborn there. The police who commented on this said that initially he thought that it was just simply a case of her dumping the newborn. After that, police interviews with the girl revealed that she has been raped by her grandfather and apparently he is the father to the child. Okay moment of contemplation for all you folks who still don’t get where I am going with this.

Can someone tell me, how the heck can the police say something like it was ‘simply’ a case of her dumping the newborn? Was there a great master plan that was going through her mind that was saying, “Okay after the birth I’m going to dump it here”? Is that the simple term that was running through the cop’s mind when he said what he said? Or maybe there is a high rate of newborn dumping going on, and he is an old hand at this kind of case. The other part of the story that irked me is that the cop once again announced that there would be a detailed investigation to whether the girl had malicious intent to harm the baby.

I don’t know if I’m making any sense to any of these besides what I think of this whole subject. The baby is doing fine and is sent to the local hospital, and the report ended with the case being looked up by the State Welfare Department.

football.

Football it is called throughout the world except for the great North American continent, which it is referred to as ‘soccer’. Dodgy as heck, but hey they already have a game that is called football, and for me it’s more like the gentlemen game of rugby. Except that it’s not, am I making sense here?

That is not what I am trying to say here, this entry is dedicated to the football team which I have supported since I was a kid. The other team in the Liverpool vicinity and it goes by the name of Everton F.C. For those of you who get it, and are currently laughing your socks off on the ground, please exercise control. For those, not in the know; the team is a perennial under-achieving team, often shadowed by their arch-nemesis, the richer and (they would like to think that they are) the over-achievers in the English Premier League. Okay maybe, I’m stretching the over-achievers bit a little. Heh. I take pleasure in every jibe over their supporters.

Derailing off the topic, this is about Everton and not the other team. Going to mention what is on my mind, on their current state. Not going to linger on the past, it is like the word itself, can’t live off the past and hope to progress. Everton currently has on their payroll, the biggest hype in the football-ing world, no not Freddy Adu, we’re talking about Wayne Rooney.

My thoughts are going all over the place again. It seems that I can’t focus long enough to write a thesis on the team, heh. It is an article that I read, recently on a formal complaint lodged by the team against another team’s supporters. The footballing body looks severely on racism, which includes chants by the supporters and the players themselves. So this African player that is playing for Everton said that the opposition supporters chanted “Black Bastard”, whenever he touched the ball. So the official league body had to look into this, and in their defense, the opposition team claimed *official press statement* that the crowd was chanting “Fat Bastard” towards Wayne Rooney (who is built rather stout), and not “Black Bastard”.

The first adjective may be different, but here I am sitting thinking, that the aforementioned club officially said its supporter called a player a fat bastard, and its okay? The reason is that it’s trying to escape punishment from the Football Association (FA) and so far there is no law or rule that says it can’t verbally abuse a player so long it’s not racially motivated.

The FA by the way has let this slide, claiming that it came from 4 separate locations in the stadium, and there was no collusion amongst them. I am dumb stricken all the same, so far my understanding is that, it’s all right to verbally taunt a player as in calling his a fat fuck, so long its not calling him a black fuck. That and you must do it, with small a small crowd at different locations in the stadium so there is not a chance for collusion. Oh by the way the FA couldn’t be conclusive whether it was ‘fat’ or ‘black’, it just so happened that small crowd(s) doesn’t constitute it to be a problem. This troubles me a lot, mainly due to the stance of the FA, and the opposition club’s official stance of its okay to abuse, so long it’s not discriminatory.
I was brought up to respect people of all colors; the feeling would then be mutual. That and it was never okay to be verbally abused by anyone, irregardless of whether they are motivated by racial slurs.

fight for every penny i say...

What’s up with Posh putting up with Clinton I ask you… or wait wrong guy same situation. Since her career is in shambles (well she was living in England trying to revive it when Becks was getting very personal with his er… “Personal Assistant”.) would you want to leave the only reason you’re in the papers at all? Which kind of makes me wonder who the celebrity seeker here is?

1.Posh. Need I explain the reason here, or do you truly believe that throughout the whole courtship that resulted in the marriage to the biggest marketing name in sports, has been victimized all this while. Shame on you for believing in that.

2.Loos. For what she was getting annually I can see why she is trying to get some payback. Do I blame her, heck no, I would do it as well… if I have no blimey clue on the meaning of pride, face, and ridicule. She was getting around 28k+ annually, pounds of course (why the heck is there not a symbol on the keyboard for that I wonder. Damn I remember the typewriters having that, and I here I was thinking that this keyboard was just the same exact thing). Right, and she was shagging up the ‘face’, being what she called it “mother, companion, pimp” to him. Heck in a rational world, she is holding down 4 jobs that ought to quadruple her pay.

3.Marbeck. I am just going to stop with this, because who knows how many insecure fame seeker going to come out from every country that Becks has stepped his right foot on. Reminds me of the sailor and a woman at every port he docks, but I am being sidetracked there. Okay, so this former model comes on and say she lived by the phone throughout the whole affair waiting for him to call. So why now, so on and so forth. Somehow it has nothing to do with how much News of the World is paying her; it’s all about a woman scorned. I would truly like to believe that, but I am afraid my views on her is just that, let me find the correct term. Think it’s called ‘ho’. Did she think for one second that Becks might leave Posh for her, or is that really wishful thinking? How was she scorned again?

For this whole affair I think it’s pretty entertaining, but besides that would it make a difference to the world affairs. Doubt it. It’s not like Clinton is smoking a cigar in the White House again. That I must say is better than, having a half baked redneck in office. He continues to take vacations to his ranch, chilling out and doing some fishing. What is up with that Mr. President? But that is another matter to be discussed when I gather some willpower to bear with inane actions and not wonder what is up with the folks for putting him in office. I guess the term the leader of the free countries does not mean much to folks there. Ahh wells.

Felt that I have sidetracked a lot again. Should finish with Mr. Right Foot, heh. I truly believe he slept around, can I put some blame on the wife, yerp. Can I put the blame on these so-called celebrity seekers? Hell yeah. Beckham is a prick as well, but he should know better that he is the trophy every trashy two-bit ‘ho’ would want. Oh, since I’m on fire, what is up with the tabloid giving wads of quid away to these rumor/ truth mongers? It puts people that worked hard all their life to shame with what that can simply be accomplished with tell-tales.

lyrically yours

Going to post Cara Dillon’s lyrics for her song entitled “There were roses.” I haven’t heard a song that conveys a story so well for a long time, come to think of it I have no clue what other song comes off more as a story than a song.

My song for you this evening, it's not to make you sad.
Nor for adding to the sorrows of our troubled northern land.
But lately I've been thinking and it just won't leave my mind.
I'll tell you of two friends on the time, who were both good friends of mine.

Isaac he was Protestant and Sean was Catholic born.
But it never made a difference, for the friendship it was strong.
And sometimes in the evening when we heard the sound of drums.
We said it won't divide us, we will always be as one.

There were roses, roses
There were roses
And the tears of a people ran together.

It was on a Sunday morning when the awful news came round.
Another killing had been done just outside Newry Town.
We knew that Isaac danced up there, we knew he liked the band.
But when we heard that he was dead we just could not understand.

Now fear it filled the countryside there was fear in every home.
When late at night a car came prowling round the Ryan Road.
A Catholic would be killed tonight to even up the score.
Oh Christ it's young McDonald they have taken from the door.

There were roses, roses
There were roses
And the tears of a people ran together

Isaac was my friend he cried; he begged them with his tears.
But centuries of hatred how our views are do not hear,
An eye for an eye, it was all that filled their mind, and another eye for another eye,
Till everyone is blind.
I don't know where the moral is or where this song should end.
But I wonder just how many wars are fought between good friends.
And those who give the orders are not the ones to die.
It's Scott and young McDonald and the likes of you and I.

There were roses, roses
There were roses
And the tears of a people ran together.

There were roses, roses
There were roses
And the tears of a people ran together.

The lyrics are as accurate as I hear them. Couldn’t make out some parts, so I have no clue if it’s all word for word, but it’s close.

an ending...

I will attempt to write a poem of sorts now. Can’t think of a reason on why I am doing it rather than why not. I am not feeling particularly chirpy with a happy outlook on life at the moment, but I don’t want to read back at this entry to be dark… apocalyptic kind of dark. So, something happy… hopefully.
Before I forget, apparently it’s Kurt Cobain’s anniversary today. So this is to Cobain, here is to hoping that wherever you’re at now, is better than the place that you have left behind.

I reek of happiness,
it’s contagious.
My careless optimism,
Borders on annoyance.
I am the garden gnome;
that decorates your garden.
Plump and smiling,
a reminder of happy days;
And cartoons.
Butterflies and sunny days,
are but a distant memory;
Shrouded by dark clouds and rainy days.
Still I stand firm,
Ever vigilante to the passing sniffing dog.
Yet I soldier on,
For the small hope that I harbor;
That I could help;
Ease the trouble that;
Plague your world.
And my existence;
Would bring happy days,
And a garden fence.

Best anime goes to...

Imagine my shock, when I was trying to show my blog to a friend and I accidentally added the “www” prior to entering my blog address. Went to a mega site of bible studies, and the first thing my eyes picked up was a link that reads ‘voice of Satan’. Don’t get me wrong this is really a mega site of bible studies, or so it says. Click here for enlightenment… I am not endorsing this in anyway.
Right as the title reads, I have just finished watching the most mind blowing anime series ever (my life). I am a big fan of anime, and I have watched quite a bit in my lifetime, heh. Yes, yes there are quite a lot of good ones out there, for the old school there is the Macross series, then the Evangelion series, plus a lot of other decent anime out there, that frankly was okay but you couldn’t remember anything about it the next day.
The series that I am referring to is “Now and then, here and there”. This is not your normal anime fare, with women boasting breasts bigger than Barbie dolls after their silicon implants, gravity defying leaps and punches, every possible underwear shot of a school uniform girl (or any other woman in that aspect). I am still trying to determine what genre this series fall under.
It’s rather fantasy, yet it is not… ‘cos the theme is more on human emotions… psyche. Basically the bad human feelings… lust, greed, the urge to be the ruler of the world. Haha, I make this sound like it’s an episode of Pinky and the Brain. All I am saying is that it’s more towards the line of a gritty drama/ adventure/ comedy/ fantasy genre.
Fans of anime are compelled to think of Escaflowne I suppose, because that is the closest that I can think of in terms of nearly all that I’ve mentioned. I felt compelled to express my thoughts on this series, because until now I am experiencing sadness in me (not very macho to be admitting to that), the violence is… shocking (again, not a very manly thing to admit, that I can’t handle my violence).
I am making my review into a mockery, heh. There goes my credibility. Don’t think is for everybody, especially those that would rather not have provocative thoughts that challenge their mindset, and they rather prance around the beautiful daisies where everything is nice and sweet. I know for a fact that I will never become a reviewer of movies with careful analysis of all the details, my flawless ability to find the right word to convey the feel of a movie and such. But I implore you to rent it, borrow it; buy it… I am considering saying ‘steal it’. What the fuck, steal it… it is that good. Found a page, which does the explaining better than me with in-depth details I suppose. Not really bothered to look for more, I know it’s good and this is just a second opinion for those skeptics.
I give it a 10 out of 5.

Quote of the day: Let your vocals do the talking – Randy Jackson (American Idol judge)

Hurtful fonts to continue...

The fonts I am afraid would have to be, till further notice. Been busy doing other things at the moment, and I’m not feeling that this demands my immediate attention. Procrastination… I think not, or maybe it is. Heh. Would eventually find out about this, and return to finishing it. Actually found sites that offer, backgrounds, fonts and such… but it didn’t appeal to me. There was an official Spider-man 2 site, that offered the aforementioned things above, the only catch is that they would be riding on free advertisements from the consumers themselves. Thought that was funny, especially links to their websites and all. That is the new “consumerism”, for the uninitiated. Why waste their already mega budget, when they get a free ride off unsuspecting and gullible users.
Brilliant.
Just bought the new Jeff Buckley cd, well if you can’t even buy an album supporting a dead artiste rather than downloading it… wonder when you would actually support an artiste. Got hooked on Buckley when I was reading an article on how he passed away. No, this is not some weird necrophilia obsession on my part; I suppose he got some free publicity for his albums with his passing. Or mayhaps, it was just the recording company’s attempt to squeeze some extra dough of somebody. Anyway, the story was Buckley and a friend was on their way to record his then new album, and on their way Buckley asked the friend to pull over because he wanted to go for a swim at a… lake/dam? So he went, and he never came back. He was found dead on May, 29th 1997. This story is kinda hazy for me, can’t recall much on this… I have the memory of a goldfish. If you have no clue on this great artiste, go buy his first album Grace. It’ll be a revelation on your part, for having discovered this person. Yes, the album that I bought entitled Live at Sin-e, is brilliant as well.
